Do you wanna know the real reason Putin is in Syria? Read this!

 Putin In Syria

The widely accepted narrative for Russia's recent increased involvement in Syria includes their longtime support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad as well as the geopolitical vacuum left by a retreating U.S. But the real reason can be summed up in one word: oil.
Russian President Vladimir Putin speaks during a meeting with members of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights at the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia, October 1, 2015.
No doubt, U.S. retrenchment has opened the door for Russian adventurism in the Middle East. But the short-term impact will be higher oil prices.
With Russia and allied Iran increasing their presence throughout the Middle East, ostensibly to combat ISIS, Saudi Arabia stands with a large target on its back. Iran has been recognized by the Saudi leadership as an existential threat. Saudi Arabia's principle tool to counter Iran adventurism has been increasing oil production, which pressures the price of oil and keeps the Iranian economy weak.
Iran, of course, has not been the only player hurt by lower oil prices. The Russian economy has been hammered by the one-two punch of sanctions imposed from their involvement in Ukraine and the drop in oil prices.
Now with Russia's growing presence in Syria, a partnership with Iran and a retreating U.S., Saudi Arabia is faced with a new and unfriendly world. Without confidence that the U.S. will have its back, Saudi Arabia may feel compelled to bend to Russia and Iran's inevitable pressure to reduce oil production. And this will lead to greater pressure for all OPEC countries to reduce production and support higher prices.
The crisis in Syria is not contained to Syria or to the Middle East and the impact of U.S. retrenchment will be felt in the West sooner than later.

6 People We Wish Would Stop Using Linkedin

Linkedin is quite possibly the best business networking tool on planet earth.  Used correctly it can dramatically increase your success in selling and can help to broaded your reach for all kinds of opportunities.  But let’s face facts: There are people on Linkedin that drive us bonkers and that we wish would stop polluting our feeds.   Here are the top 5 people we wish would stop using Linkedin today:
1. The Hot Girl Liker:  We get it.  She’s on the beach, taking a selfie, and you think she’s an “inspiration to all with her positive message!”  We just don’t care.
2. The Political Hater:  None of us like to see people crucifying each other on a business networking site because they support one candidate or another.  We all have political leanings and have a great forum to express our views: At the ballot box!
3. The Connections Creep:  If for some ridiculous reason you are trying to get 500,000 connections on Linkedin there are far better ways to get there than sending random connection requests.  Most of us already have a business coach, hiring firm and sales trainer.  If we haven’t met virtually or in person save your request until we have!
4. The Open CC’er:  Sending a message to EVERYBODY on your connections list with an open cc/ is not just annoying, it’s disrespectful.  And yes, I’ve done it myself by accident, so look for that “check” box to bcc/ instead!
5. The Instant Opportunist:  Just because we accept your connection request doesn’t mean we’re ready to buy something from you 5 seconds later.  What ever happened to first base??

6.  Fake and ruthless recruiters  posting non exiting jobs (trying to scam out candidates
e-mail and phone numbers and thus playing with desperate people mind.

In addition ,those over zealous recruiters who respond to an inquiry about how best to approach a problem with an offer to place the perfect candidate for a non-existent job

position!

Now it’s your turn!  I’m sure there are a bunch that I’ve missed.  What type of activity do you wish people would stop doing on Linkedin?  What kinds of things do you actually like to see on Linkedin that you wish people would do more of?  Your voice matters so be sure to leave your comments!

The Trump effect? Apple 'could start building iPhones in the US' rather than outsourcing from abroad

THE TRUMP EFFECT? APPLE 'COULD START BUILDING IPHONES IN THE US' RATHER THAN OUTSOURCING FROM ABROAD
The Trump effect? Apple 'could start building iPhones in the US' rather than outsourcing from abroad

  • Asian manufacturer of iPhone component asked to look into US relocation
  • Taiwanese contractor says move to US could double cost of iPhones
  • Trump has vowed to slap tariffs on US firms that outsource to overseas
  • Apple says that US can't compete with China in manufacturing capacity

Are the aftershocks of Donald Trump’s election being felt in Silicon Valley?

Apple has asked one of its Asian partners who helps assemble its signature product, the iPhone, to begin examining the possibility of moving production to the United States, Nikkei Asian Review reported on Wednesday.
Although the request was made in June, it is significant in light of the election of Trump, who ran on a platform of anti-corporate populism fueled by the loss of domestic manufacturing jobs.
Hon Hai Precision Industry, the Taiwanese multinational which also goes by the name Foxconn Technology Group, is a contract manufacturer and one of two firms hired by Apple to assemble the iPhone.
The other, Pegatron, which is also based in Taiwan, declined Apple’s request, citing cost concerns.

The two companies make over 200 million iPhone devices every year.
'Apple asked both Foxconn and Pegatron, the two iPhone assemblers, in June to look into making iPhones in the US,' a source told Nikkei Asian Review.

'Foxconn complied, while Pegatron declined to formulate such a plan due to cost concerns.'
Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronic manufacturer, is also Apple’s largest client.

Donald Trump (above) ran for president vowing to impose tariffs on US companies that manufacture products overseas
Though it complied with Apple’s request for a study, its founder, Terry Gou, has also expressed misgivings about the production costs of establishing a US-based operation.
‘Making iPhones in the US means the cost will more than double,’ a source said.
It is believed that Apple and its partners are increasingly nervous about a Trump presidency.
During his election campaign, Trump vowed to impose tariffs on US-based companies that rely on cheaper labor overseas.
The iPhone and other Apple products are manufactured in Asia.
Apple is just one of several US-based multinational tech giants that have outsourced their manufacturing to China.
While stumping for votes this past March, Trump vowed to use his presidential powers to compel American companies to return stateside.
‘We have such amazing people in this country: smart, sharp, energetic, they’re amazing,’ Trump said.
‘I was saying "make America great again", and I actually think we can say now, and I really believe this, we’re gonna get things coming. We’re gonna get Apple to start building their damn computers and things in this country, instead of in other countries.’
In an email to Apple employees last week, Apple CEO Tim Cook - who has been an outspoken critic of Trump - didn't even mention the president-elect by name as he asked his team to 'move forward together'.
'I’ve heard from many of you today about the presidential election. In a political contest where the candidates were so different and each received a similar number of popular votes, it’s inevitable that the aftermath leaves many of you with strong feelings.'
'We have a very diverse team of employees, including supporters of each of the candidates. Regardless of which candidate each of us supported as individuals, the only way to move forward is to move forward together,' Cook wrote.
He added that Apple is 'one big family' and encouraged his employees to reach out to coworkers 'if they are feeling anxious'.
Despite Trump’s claims to bring tech manufacturing jobs back to the US, experts say the task is nearly impossible since China has the personnel, expertise, manpower, and supply chain capacity that are unmatched here.
‘We shouldn’t be criticized for using Chinese workers’, an unnamed Apple executive told The New York Times in January 2012. ‘The US has stopped producing people with the skills we need’.

China to Trump: Go Screw Yourself

China to Trump: Go Screw Yourself

China Fires Back At Trump & Tells Him To Go Screw Himself; Internet Goes INSANE

After Trump took to Twitter to blast China, China responded back by giving Trump the bird (literally).

To ring in the New Year, a local Chinese shopping mall outside of Taiyuan made an enormous sculpture of a chicken that resembles US President-elect Donald Trump.
Here is the image:
The Trump rooster is sporting the same hairdo–with tiny wings mocking the distinctive hand gestures of the self-proclaimed billionaire. Replicas of the bird are now available on the Chinese shopping site Taobao for as much as 12,000 yuan ($1,700) for a 10-metre version.
Unfortunately for Trump, the internet is going absolutely nuts over this image, describing it as “hilarious” and calling Trump a “huge cock.”

Eleven Best Hints for Life.

Best Hints for Life

1. It hurts to love someone and not to be loved in return. But what is more painful is to love
someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel.

2. A sad thing in life is when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the
end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go.

3. The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch swing with, never say a word, and
then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

4. It’s true that we don’t know what we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know

what we’ve been missing until it arrives.

5. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love

someone — but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.

6. Don’t go for looks, they can deceive. Don’t go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright.

7. Dream what you want to dream, go where you want to go, be what you want to be. Because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.

8. Always put yourself in the other’s shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the person too.

9. A careless word may kindle strife. A cruel word may wreck a life. A timely word may level stress. But a loving word may heal and bless.

10. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

11. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, ends with a tear. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you’re the one smiling and everyone around you is crying.
